Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based inRochester, are looking to recruitProduction Operativesto work in theirFoundryto assist in the aluminium investment casting process.

As aFoundry Production Operativeyour main duties will include:

  • Aluminium melt preparation prior to casting
  • Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting
  • Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting)
  • Moving moulds following casting
  • Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast
  • Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders

The idealFoundry Production Operativewill have:

  • High degree of physical fitness. This is a strenuous role with a high degree of manual handling.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction environment.
  • A good work ethic,
  • A good level of physical coordination
  • Excellent time keeping skills.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm - 40 hours per week

This role isTemp - Permwith a 2 week period of temporary working basis before permanent employment status is achieved.

Weekly pay, plus holiday pay, for the first 2 weeks moving to monthly pay whem permanent.

There is the opportunity for optional overtimeon Fridays and some Saturdays when on a permanent basis.Benefits include free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
