Job Description

Iamworkingwithabusinesswhoarebuiltuparoundateamofindustryheavyweightswhohaveoperatedintheon/offshorewindsectorforover20years.TheyutilizespecialistequipmentandcontrolroomstomonitoramixofhighvoltageassetsacrosstheUKandoffshoreandinturntheyreact,manageandresolveanyfaultswhichmayoccur.

Role

TheyarelookingforaSurveillanceEngineertoworknightsintheircontrolroom,basedinBlyth.

Someofthekeyresponsibilitiesareasfollows:

  • MonitorSystemsofHVassetsacrosstheUKandOffshore(upto5sitesatonetime)
  • Ifafaultarisesthenanautomatedalarmwillgooff.InthateventtheSurveillanceEngineerwillcontacttheappointedControlEngineer.FromtheretheControlEngineerwillfindthefault,isolate,thenresolveit.

Mustbepreparedtoworknightsandideallycomewithanelectricalbackground.Duetothenatureoftherole,itisessentialforthispostholdertobeITliterateandbeabletopickupnewsoftwarepackageswithease.
