Our client is seeking a Site Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis, working on the South West Water Mains Network project in St Austell, Cornwall. This role involves overseeing pipeworks and streetworks operations within a 100-mile radius, ensuring project compliance with health and safety policies and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies
- Managing supply chains and subcontractors, typically overseeing 2-3 teams simultaneously
- Auditing and conducting quality checks
- Procuring plant and materials
- Assisting with streetworks applications
- Planning and installing water meters and bypass pipeworks
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water sector
- White CSCS card or EUSR card essential
- SSSTS or SMSTS essential
- Water hygiene card essential
- NRSWA supervisor beneficial
- Asbestos awareness beneficial
- Significant knowledge of water industry, including at least six months of relevant work
- Strong understanding of piping, materials, and water systems
- Ideally local to the area and familiar with the local geography
Contract Details:
- Inside IR35
- 34 days holiday
- 6-month contract starting ASAP
- Monday - Friday, 45 hour week
