Account Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records. The position requires a good understanding of accounting processes, general admin, and excellent organisational skills.

Account Administrator Duties

  • Monthly reconciliations of client accounts (using Excel and Blockman, a specific property management software
  • Providing reconciled reports to clients
  • Reconciliation of business VAT returns
  • Raising service charge, ground rent and recharge invoices
  • Preparing service charge account statements
  • Client debt chasing re service charges and ground rent accounts
  • Issuing Parking Permits and invoicing
  • Uploading financial information in respect new developments
  • Annually entering budget provisions/service charge apportionments and information in conjunction with clients’ financial periods
  • Handling of utility accounts for clients
  • Handling of lift line accounts
  • Managing Compliance Reminder spreadsheet
  • Arranging half yearly lift inspections
  • Operating DropBox account for clients to access information
  • Responsible for general accounting queries
  • General admin, including downloading Land Registry documents
  • Back up support re phones, mail merges, and issuing of Works Orders

Account Administrator Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounting, with experience in Xero being desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy, reactive environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in an administrative or accounting role is preferred
