Assistant Quantity Surveyor

My client is a leading provider of Building Maintenance Improvement Services to Social Housing providers who deliver a range of services including Retrofit and energy efficiency upgrades,, responsive repairs, voids, and disrepair (including damp & mould), refurbishment and project works, (M&E) services and commercial building maintenance. 

They have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bodmin and they are looking at holding interviews next week. They are looking for a process driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the maintenance team based in Cornwall who collectively are responsible for all responsive and void maintenance works across Cornwall.  The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing costs and sales for maintenance and void contracts on an ongoing basis throughout the month. This role requires a solid understanding of construction processes, and effective communication abilities. Understanding of the NHF schedule of rates would be desirable. 

Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

 Key Skills & Experience:

• Driving License

• Background in Social Housing

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Basic understanding of construction methods and building regulations.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
