Freight Account Manager - Tyne and Wear - Up to 30,000 plus CA and commission

Our client are seeking a full-time Account Manager to join their team within the time-critical logistics sector. This role offers a hybrid working model, with flexibility to combine remote work and client-facing activities.

The Account Manager will focus on generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying market trends, and creating strategies to support business growth. Key responsibilities include engaging with potential clients to understand their logistics needs, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction at the highest level.

Job type: Permanent

Salary: Up to 30,000

Car allowance: 350 per month

Commission: 20% for first 12 months, 10% afterwards - Lifetime of the account

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Identify and analyze market opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand logistics requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate and close business deals that deliver mutual value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Use CRM systems and sales tools to manage pipelines and monitor performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in Business Development or Sales.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and develop effective business strategies.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Previous experience in time-critical logistics is a strong advantage.
