Assistant Accountant- part qualified Location: Bolton Salary: circa £30,000- £45,000 DOE

An established and fast-growing manufacturing company based in Bolton is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career, within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information to support operational and strategic planning, drive performance analysis, and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report on and analyse various operational costs including materials, labour, non-conformances, and maintenance spend etc
  • Perform month-end variance analysis and spend reviews
  • Prepare management accounts packs- reporting on profit improvement
  • Produce profit improvement reports and analysis.
  • Coordinate departmental budgets and compile the business plan pack
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support with streamlining finance processes

Requirements:

  • ACCA/ CIMA part qualified
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
