You will be joining a main contractor based in the Northwest area operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited contractor has long-standing relationships with multiple major water providers across the country, including United Utilities, Severn Trent Water and Thames Water. They offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, as well as a strong pipeline of work in the United Utilities region. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Commissioning Engineer to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based on sites in the United Utilities region. However, there is also a temporary position for this role.
Your new role:
As Commissioning Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements of various projects
- Supporting the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
- Attending FAT activities and providing construction input with regard to systems controls
- Carrying out commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems
- Completing commissioning documentation.
What you'll need to succeed:
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Proven commissioning experience in the water industry (or other process-driven industry)
- Ideally, ICA/Electrical experience
- Process knowledge around treatment and water movement
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages
- EUSR and full UK driving licence.
