Bricklayer

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Bricklayer to work with Bury Council on a temporary basis. The roles are full-time working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri). This role involves a variety of tasks including pointing, flagging, replacing floor slabs, general brickwork, replacing lintels, and crack stitching.

Main Duties:

• Conducting pointing to repair and finish mortar joints.
• Flagging and laying paving stones or tiles for paths and patios.
• Replacing damaged or worn floor slabs.
• Performing general brickwork tasks as required.
• Replacing lintels above doors and windows.
• Applying crack stitching techniques to repair walls.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant qualification i.e. NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing
• Full UK driver’s license (vehicle provided)
• Proven experience as a Bricklayer
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• High level of precision and attention to detail
