We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join our Design & Technology department on a temporary basis. This full-time role is suitable for a teacher who is passionate about food education and committed to delivering creative, engaging lessons that inspire students to develop essential life skills.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all abilities.

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Food Tech lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Encourage creativity, safety, and independence in food preparation

  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and classroom organisation

  • Contribute to the broader life of the department and school

  The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting

  • Be confident managing a practical classroom environment

  • Be organised, proactive, and passionate about student learning

  • Be available to start immediately or at short notice
