Reeson Education is recruiting a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a truly special SEN school in the BL7 area of Bolton. This Teaching Assistant role is to start as soon as possible and will run on a full-time, long-term basis-with the potential to become a permanent member of the team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils of primary age who have a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, PMLD, SLD, MLD, SEMH, behavioural needs, and physical disabilities. The school has a strong focus on outdoor learning and animal therapy, offering pupils a creative, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Work in class and 1:1 as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with complex SEND.

  • Support pupils' emotional regulation, engagement, and access to learning.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams.

  • Help implement bespoke learning plans and behaviour strategies.

  • Embrace the school's values of inclusion, kindness, and creativity.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:

  • Be a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant.

  • Have experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND.

  • Be confident working across a sensory and therapeutic curriculum.

  • Thrive in a team-focused and holistic learning environment.

  • Be comfortable working outdoors and engaging in creative, active sessions.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • References covering the last 2-3 years.

  • A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of pupils with SEND.
