Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to work with Bury Council on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri).
The incoming candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical works, including repairs, installation work, and electrical testing across various properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work to a high standard of safety and compliance.
Main Duties:
- Carry out electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across residential and commercial properties
- Undertake electrical inspection and testing in line with current regulations
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and effectively
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and electrical regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and materials used
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned jobs within agreed timeframes
Essential Criteria:
- Full UK driving licence
- Time-served electrical installation apprenticeship
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry, ideally wihtin a Public Sector entity
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation certificate or equivalent
- AM2 qualification
- BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition certificate
- City & Guilds 2391 Full Inspection & Testing certificate
