We are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation in Bolton that is seeking a talented and proactive Finance Manager to join its finance leadership team. This is a hands-on role offering genuine responsibility and the opportunity to support strategic decisions across a complex manufacturing operation. For the right candidate this role offers a salary of £70,000 - £75,000 and a strong bonus and pension

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership across manufacturing operations, supporting delivery of annual and strategic plans.
  • Deliver timely and insightful management information on product costings and performance.
  • Lead the preparation and review of manufacturing contract Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Manage and control capital expenditure across a multi-million-pound investment programme.
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, focusing on manufacturing finance processes and integration.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and manufacturing operations.
  • Line manage and develop two direct reports within the finance team.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing finance and associated KPIs.
  • Strong business partnering experience
  • People management experience is advantageous
