The Firm

An established and forward-thinking insolvency practice with a strong reputation for technical excellence and client service is looking to appoint a Corporate Insolvency Practitioner to join its dynamic Technical Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the firm’s continued growth and technical development.

The Role

As a Corporate Insolvency Practitioner, you will act as office-holder on a range of complex insolvency appointments, offering expert guidance and oversight on corporate insolvency cases. Working closely with the technical team, you will provide internal support and advice to case teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice across the board.

You will also take a lead on high-value or sensitive cases, providing strategic input and technical reviews. The role offers a blend of advisory, compliance, and leadership responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as office-holder on a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including Administrations, CVLs, and CVAs.

  • Provide technical guidance to case teams across the firm.

  • Ensure all insolvency appointments comply with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.

  • Conduct file reviews and assist with complex case strategy and resolution.

  • Liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors, and stakeholders in complex scenarios.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of internal training programs and technical updates.

  • Contribute to the firm's internal policies and technical documentation.

  • Support the firm's risk and compliance function.

Requirements
  • JIEB qualified and licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP license essential).

  • Extensive experience in corporate insolvency with a strong technical background.

  • Excellent working knowledge of current insolvency legislation and best practice.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters to both internal staff and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload within a high-performing environment.

  • Experience in managing staff and mentoring junior team members is desirable.
