Sellick Partnership is working with a respected and long-established law firm who are seeking a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team, based in either Bolton or Blackburn.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior-level solicitor to take ownership of a high-quality caseload while playing a pivotal role in the continued development and success of the department. The role offers the chance to work with a broad client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

    • Trust administration

    • Probate and estate administration

    • Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney

    • Inheritance Tax and complex tax planning advice

    • Potential Court of Protection work

  • Advising clients on estate structures, succession planning, and tax-efficient strategies.

  • Supporting the wider team with complex matters, and mentoring junior staff where required.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues.

  • Contributing to the growth of the department through business development and networking.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Private Client law.

  • Ideally STEP qualified or working towards accreditation.

  • Strong technical knowledge and confident handling complex matters independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-first approach.

  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset.

  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a collaborative and supportive culture.
