Our client is a Heavy Manufacturing business that support complex projects within highly regulated sectors.

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across all business operations. This role ensures adherence to policies and procedures to protect the wellbeing of employees and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with legal and contractual requirements.

Who This Job Would Suit
This position is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional with a background in health, safety, and environmental management. The role suits someone with experience within highly regulated Manufacturing and experience working around Welding & Fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and assistance to managers to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular workplace audits and health, safety, and environmental surveys, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Develop and deliver induction training and maintain employee training records.
  • Coordinate communications and initiatives related to safety, health, and environmental matters, including toolbox talks and training.
  • Monitor and report HSE trends, risks, and compliance to senior management.
  • Investigate and report incidents and accidents.
  • Carry out both Internal Audits and carry out actions following External Audits.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a HSE professional within Manufacturing
  • Strong Knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Internal Auditor certified highly desirable
  • Must be eligible for SC Clearance (British National or in UK for over 5 years)


Location: Bolton
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 0800-1700 (Mon-Thurs), 0800-1200 (Fri)
Salary: £35k - £43k
