Job Title: Engineering Stores Person
Location: Bolton
Salary: 35-45k, depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Engineering Stores Person to join our maintenance team in Bolton. The successful candidate will take ownership of our engineering stores, ensuring efficient stock management, procurement, and administrative support to the maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate in an engineering stores role with proven experience.
Design and implement a stores layout from scratch to optimise workflow and accessibility.
Catalogue and maintain all maintenance spares systematically.
Control the issue of components, ensuring accurate labelling and record updates.
Manage procurement of maintenance spares and PPE, including reordering and cost control.
Support administrative tasks with the maintenance team, ensuring records are up to date and accurate.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in an engineering stores role.
Hands-on experience building and organising a stores layout.
Strong knowledge of stock control, labelling, and issuing procedures.
Experience with procurement, reordering, and cost control of maintenance spares and PPE.
Competent in administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
Highly organised, methodical, and able to work independently.
