- Maintain adherence to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations, keeping the work area safe, clean, and in line with 5S principles.
- Liaise between quality, engineering, and production to resolve issues and maintain quality output.
- Conduct First-Off, In-Process, Sub-Contract and Final Inspections using CMM, visual, manual, and other measurement techniques.
- Interpret CMM results, perform manual inspections (micrometres, calipers, etc.), and advise on any issues found.
- Verify drawings, specifications, and inspection program versions match the batch card.
- Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and used per SOPs.
- Confirm batch cards are completed correctly; raise concessions, deviation permits, or NCRs as needed.
- Check materials, markings, and traceability against specifications and certifications.
- Support continuous improvement and quality investigations.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
- Participate in effective shift handovers and maintain professional, cooperative team relationships.
- Hold authorised stamp and meet vision requirements per aerospace standards.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in precision manufacturing within a regulated industry, preferably Aerospace.
- At least 1 year of inspection experience, or relevant operating experience involving CMM and handheld inspection tools.
- Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience using manual measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, calipers).
- Familiarity with CMM operation and basic interpretation of results (willingness to learn further is acceptable).
- Time-served apprenticeship or qualification in Machining or Engineering.
- Effective communicator with good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
