Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Location: North West
Reports to: Finance Dirctor
Salary: 50-55K
Purpose of the Role
To act as a strategic partner to business leaders by providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance that supports decision-making, improves financial performance, and drives business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for designated business areas.
- Challenge business performance constructively to ensure alignment with targets & objectives.
- Translate complex financial data into meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Partner with operational teams to evaluate business cases, cost-saving initiatives, and investment decisions.
- Identify risks &opportunities, providing early warning on variances from budget or forecast.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial procedures, and corporate governance.
- Support month-end processes, variance analysis, and reporting for relevant departments.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and business partnering practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of operational performance drivers.
- Proficient in financial modelling and using Excel and finance systems
