We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Bolton that is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide individual and small group support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive in their learning.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.

  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills.

  • Support pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs.

  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.



Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

  • Ability to support children with a variety of learning and behavioural needs.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Support for Teaching & Learning) - desirable but not essential.
