About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Learning Support Assistant to join our school team in Bolton. This is a full-time, term-time position supporting students who require additional emotional and educational support to thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and individual settings

  • Assist teachers in implementing learning plans and strategies tailored to each student

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to students

  • Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations

  • Must be a confident driver with access to a vehicle (required for the role)

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
