Experienced SEN Teacher - Bolton
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced SEN Teacher who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of children with additional needs?
A caring and inclusive school in Bolton is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on their needs
Foster a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, external agencies, and families
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and development
Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence in all learners
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
Previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs
Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour management
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
