Senior Accountant Job Overview
- Compliance - Prepare and review accounts and initial tax computations for a varied portfolio. Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date records for HMRC and companies house
- Advisory - Provide advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency, protection of assets, tax implications, and provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring
- General - Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated services to clients. Mentoring and supporting junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities
Senior Accountant Job Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or part qualified, or Qualified by Experience
- Preferably a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts within an accountancy practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK accounting legislation
- Proven experience in providing business advisory services to owner managed businesses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft office applications
