Warehouse FLM

Days - Monday to Friday: 6am to 2pm (30mins unpaid lunch break)

Bolton

£25.6k + Discretionary Bonus + Bens + Excellent Prospects

Strive Supply chain have been exclusively retained to work with a well-established, high profile, supplier of non-food FMCG items to the retail & wholesale sector. This is a new role that will take the operation through a period of expanding automation & CI & as such will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic opportunity.

Ideally used to a proven FLM OR Operative looking to make a step up.

Warehouse Summary:

Square footage of the site - NDC c210,000 sq ft combined

3,500 SKUs

Stockholding = c8 weeks

Inbound suppliers c140 Suppliers on monthly basis with some products received direct from EU suppliers & re-sorted on site and then sent onto re-packagers in UK labelling.

Wholesale customers purchase stock by pallet

KNAPP automation / High bay racking throughout main warehouse with added VNA due.

Outbound Transport mostly via own van fleet & some 3PL. High volume, multi-drop

Ideal Candidate?

Must be a strong people manager.

Ideally from a high-volume warehouse or production related function with exposure to fast moving, multi-SKU, time critical, complex operations.

Proven experience of challenging poor performance & selling a route forward to improve.

People driven & proven ability to change attitudes, train, lead & coach.

Able to combine being hands on & taking a step back when needed.

Good numeracy and literacy ability

WMS exposure

Can work under pressure without constant supervision

Able to carry out manual lifting tasks as orders can be for full outers.

Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards.

High standard of personal hygiene

Role Summary:

Always ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, including Health & Safety , ensuring required quality standards are met by all staff

Monitoring daily KPI’s, staff performance and desired targets

Ability to communicate with team members effectively

Daily management of the replenishment of products required for customer orders in both the WMS and KNAPP environments, including any reports, to ensure availability

Daily management of the collection and put away of Goods In deliveries

Ensuring sufficient, adequately trained staff are available to handle the daily workload

Resource and Equipment management

Reporting any defective equipment or equipment issues to the Warehouse Management or on-site engineers

Management & allocation of the Stock Counting & date Checking procedure

Ensuring FEFO practices take place at the time of replenishment/goods in put away

Ensuring all SOPs are always adhered to

Manual Picking of orders in both the KNAPP & WMS environments using scanners

Packing & Repacking (where required) of orders in a way which protects the integrity and quality of products

Management of the Goods Out Zones - Including order resolution, sortation and storage

Spot Checks on tasks performed but the team you are responsible for
