About the Role:

Employing over 1,200 people, the site produces millions of products per week and supplies into most of the UK's biggest retailers. It's a fast-paced, dynamic environment offering the opportunity to influence performance across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering key sustainability objectives including Net Zero, energy efficiency, carbon, GHG, water usage, and waste reduction.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and business objectives and customer's policies.
  • Collating, analysing, and presenting data to monitor progress and supporting annual ESG and CSR reporting.
  • Engaging with, and training, colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

About You:

A background in food manufacturing would be ideal, but we're keen to hear from anybody with the following:

  • Experience of implementing and managing sustainability initiatives in a manufacturing, engineering, or waste management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of current sustainability and environment legislation and audit experience including ISO 14001 (and ideally ISO 50001, ISO 45001) and carbon reporting.
  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field, such as Sustainability, Environmental, or Engineering, with IEMA membership or NEBOSH preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence colleagues at all levels.
