Electronic Assembly Technician

Cumbernauld

Salary: Circa 32,000

Hours: 37 per week (rotating shift)

We are looking for a skilled electronics technician to join our team in Cumbernauld. If you enjoy problem solving, hands -on work, and want to grow your career in electronics, this role is for you!

What you'll do:

  • Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic products
  • Use diagnostics tools (multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering tools).
  • Carry out functional, operational and environmental testing.
  • Analysing and interpreting test data to support repairs
  • Reading and working from schematic drawings
  • Preparing accurate written reports on test results and repair activities.

What we're looking for:

  • HNC/HND in electronic engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of electronics principles and repair techniques.
  • Hands on experience with diagnostics Equipment
  • knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill etc.
  • Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, read schematics.

Rotating shifts:

  • 2 weeks on Dayshift - Mon-Thurs 7am-3:30pm, Fri. 7:00pm-13:30pm
  • 2 weeks on PM Shift - Mon-Thurs 3pm-11pm, Fri. 1pm-8pm
