Nursery Nurse

Our Client are looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse their quality day Nursery based near Bootle, Liverpool. The Nursery is part of a private childcare provider regulated by Ofsted. The successful candidate must ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences, which meet their individual needs.

Essential Criteria for this position:

  • An Early years Qualification equivalent to Level 3 deemed to be full and relevant by DFE
  • Hold a current Paediatric 1st Aid certificate
  • A knowledge of Safeguarding Children procedures/The Prevent Duty Agenda/British Values
  • A sound knowledge of child development from Birth to Five years of age

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to the children
  • To observe, support and extend children’s learning
  • To ensure that children are kept safe and when necessary follow the Company’s Safeguarding Children’s procedures
  • To be a key person who has responsibility for a group of children
  • To observe, plan for, and assess those key children’s development
  • Observations on those children to be completed on a monthly basis
  • To complete tracking documentation on your key group of children’s learning and development using the EYLog system
  • To promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
  • To comply with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (Section 3 – The Safeguarding and Welfare requirements) and the relevant legislation including The Children’s Act 1989/2004 and Childcare Act 2006
  • To develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with Advisory Teachers, Area Senco’s and other agencies
