Service Receptionist

Professional, customer-focused Automotive Service Receptionists are urgently required for a busy car and light commercial dealership in Bootle. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. The ideal candidate will be organised, courteous, and passionate about providing outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive at the service centre
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries regarding service bookings, repairs, and estimates
  • Schedule and confirm service appointments using dealership or garage systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and vehicle service history
  • Liaise between customers and service technicians to ensure clear communication
  • Provide updates on vehicle repair status and estimated completion times
  • Process invoices, payments, and warranty claims as needed
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and report generation

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in an automotive environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management software (e.g., CDK, Kerridge, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Professional appearance and attitude

Preferred Qualities:

  • Knowledge of automotive terminology and basic mechanical concepts
  • Experience handling cash, card transactions, and invoicing

Monday to Friday 8:30am- 5:30pm

£14.00 per hour
