We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Turner/Miller to join a well-established precision engineering firm based in Bootle. The company specialises in high-quality metal fabrication and machining services supplying into a range of industries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual lathes to produce precision components to customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform quality checks using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
  • Work with a variety of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Maintain machinery and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other machinists and fabricators to meet production deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Manual Turner in a precision engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and tolerances.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to support other areas of the workshop when required.

Desirable:

  • Experience with manual machining either milling
  • Familiarity with fabrication and welding processes.
