Customer Service Coordinator

OA are recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic and growing team within a leading distribution company in the fashion accessory and travel goods sector.

As the first point of contact for a diverse range of customers—including buyers, shop floor staff, and merchandisers—you will play a crucial role in managing customer enquiries, orders, and repairs. You’ll take ownership of each interaction, ensuring customer satisfaction while enhancing account management practices. Your ability to develop in-depth product knowledge and understand trading requirements will be key to supporting the brand’s values and reputation.

Location: Elstree, Borehamwood

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9 – 5:30 and Friday 9-5. Office based.

Salary: ÂŁ26,000-ÂŁ28,0000

Customer Service Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer and consumer emails, orders, and repair-related paperwork with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Keeping the customer databases updated to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Handling customer queries about after-care services, including repair issues, product details, availability, and stockist locations.
  • Take charge of repair-related issues from start to finish, including processing paperwork and coordinating or dealing with the repairs.
  • Providing customers with updates on orders, repairs, stock availability, pricing, and product changes.
  • Proactively reaching out to customers with sales information to maximize selling potential and drive business growth.
  • Supporting the sales, design, and warehouse teams by sharing critical information and assisting with ad hoc tasks.
  • Managing order processing, invoicing, stock updates, and other administrative duties like filing and photocopying.

Customer Service Coordinator  Skills and Experience

  • You will need to have a positive and can-do attitude to your work, be conscientious, willing to assist in all areas and be a team player.
  • Experience working in a similar role be advantageous. Retail experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Organised and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to complete outstanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail is vital, organisation and administrative skills are essential.
  • You will need to use your time management skills to ensure customers’ requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • You will need to be computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Opera accounting system is desired, but not essential as training will be given.
