About the Role:A vibrant and nurturing nursery in Borehamwood is seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to take charge of one of our age-specific rooms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified early years professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and education, and ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of a rich, engaging curriculum in line with the EYFS

  • Create a warm, stimulating environment that supports children’s learning and development

  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families

  • Support and mentor practitioners within the room, helping to maintain high standards

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies

  • Carry out observations, assessments and reports to monitor child progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)

  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 in a nursery setting

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements

  • Proven ability to lead a small team or previous experience as a senior practitioner

  • Passionate, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care
