Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing specialist lender, is seeking an experienced Bridging Finance Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in bridging finance to play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end underwriting of new bridging applications in line with internal lending policies.
  • Maintain regular communication with brokers, solicitors, and valuers to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Continuously assess risk throughout the life of each case.
  • Liaise with the funding team to ensure timely drawdowns for cases nearing completion.
  • Provide consistent updates on pipeline activity and individual case progression to internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Meet personal and team-based KPIs while managing workload and priorities effectively.
Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in bridging or specialist finance underwriting.
  • CeMAP qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage regulatory requirements.
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment.
