Salary: £33,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

They are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September. This is a great opportunity for an experienced educator or an enthusiastic ECT ready to take on the important role of guiding pupils through the final stage of Key Stage 1.
The Role:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial part in developing pupils’ core skills in literacy and numeracy while preparing them for their transition to Key Stage 2. You'll be responsible for delivering well-structured, engaging lessons and supporting pupils through their end-of-KS1 assessments in a calm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach high-quality lessons based on the Year 2 national curriculum

Prepare pupils for KS1 SATs with clear objectives and supportive strategies

Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Track and assess pupil progress to inform planning and interventions

Maintain strong communication with parents and carers
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and consistency

Contribute to the wider school community through events, training, and enrichment
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching in KS1, preferably Year 2

Solid understanding of phonics and the Year 2 assessment framework

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A reflective, flexible, and nurturing teaching style

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
