Utility/Electrical Project Coordinator
We are looking for a Project Coordinator or a Senior Project Coordinator (dependant on experience and expertise within the role) to support the development, growth, drive and management of the Project department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre individual to join and strengthen our team, working on a wide range of projects.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for delivering the provision of metered electricity connections to customers who require a new or altered service. They will also be responsible for delivering tender based projects within the industry, including and sub-mains installations. The role will include liaising with the DNO's, Local councils, traffic management companies and civils companies, completing application paperwork site visits, and working as part of the company's Pot Delivery Team in completing the work.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all assigned project duties and project related documentation to successfully deliver a project within set timeframes. Gain a detailed understanding of the project delivery process.
compilation and issues of Work Packs and Compliance Folders which includes but not limited to RAM's, Utility drawings and site drawings. Managing the street works/section 50 licencing process for assigned projects, including pre-application meetings with local authorities.
Scheduling & monitoring of all assigned projects on a weekly basis and delivering to plan.
Develop and consistently maintain good levels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders on progress of work.
Raising Project related purchase orders for materials and subcontractors, including arranging the deliveries to site.
Prepare documentation for meetings including the agenda, minutes of the meetings, project progress documents and summary reports.
Maintain the scheduling and monitoring of all assigned projects.
Preparing and compiling O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals along with developing and maintaining O&M data sheet library.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Work well under pressure in a fast-pace environment.
Ability to read and understand the fundamentals of utility, electrical and traffic management drawings.
Good computer Skills, with a knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation.
Have a confident telephone manner with excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
Self-motivated, with strong drive to succeed with good initiative and a flexible attitude.
Ability to nurture and build on established/good working relationships with clients/suppliers/partners.
Good planning and diary management.
This is an office-based role, so candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Essential
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of at least 2 years experience within the relevant role.
Proven experience in Project Coordination.
Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks at a time. Desirable
Knowledge of Section 50 notices and permits.
Experience of delivering projects within the Electrical DNO/IDNO industry. Knowledge of the electrical industry.
