Management Accountant

Full or part time (minimum hours 30 per week)

Join our client, an established Manufacturing business with a turnover just below 20m, as they seek an experienced Accountant to enhance their dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to delve into management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, empowering the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with valuable insights for strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in this successful established company.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

- Lead the month-end process, encompassing balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation of monthly management accounts within Group deadlines.

- Enhance the monthly reporting pack to offer critical insights for improved decision-making.

- Collaborate on weekly and monthly KPI reporting initiatives.

- Contribute to monthly forecasting activities.

- Oversee product costing and investigate labor variances to ensure data accuracy.

- Ensure timely completion of the year-end audit within Group deadlines.

- Maintain compliance by submitting VAT returns to HMRC promptly.

- Undertake additional ad hoc tasks and projects as directed by the MD.

This role welcomes applications from experienced Accountants with robust interpersonal skills, adept at engaging across various business functions from Manufacturing to HR. Whether you are a qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience (QBE), our client provides support for ACCA or CIMA studies.

**Experience & Skills:**

- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.

- Strong communication skills adaptable to all organizational levels.

- Previous exposure to SAP is advantageous.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

- Strong organizational abilities to manage varied tasks effectively.
