Electrical Design Engineer - EPLAN

To £60k + Overtime, Pension, TRAINING !

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Design electrical systems for all projects where required. This includes electrical schematics, cable schedules, BOM’s, control panel layouts and cable management

  • Utilise electrical design software (EPLAN) to create 2D/3D models, circuit diagrams and any applicable calculations that may be required

  • Select appropriate components, materials and technologies to ensure efficiency and compliance

  • Create control panel and general arrangement drawings, equipment ID’s, and cable/core identification labels

  • Attend client sites when required to develop URS / FDS

  • Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure design feasibility and ease of implementation

  • Prepare and maintain design documentation and specifications

  • Create site layout drawings showing equipment and cable routes

  • Manage all required materials, scheduling and workshop builds most efficiently and economically

  • Troubleshoot design issues and optimise electrical designs for performance, safety, and efficiency

  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company safety policies

 

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • Education: HNC/D in Electrical Engineering (desirable).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electrical Design CAD software (EPLAN essential).

  • Knowledge: Understanding electrical systems, components, and standards BS7671, BS 60204, BS 61439

  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
