Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator

Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator with previous Fork Lift Truck experience within a warehouse environment, knowledge of logistical processes and a good eye for detail is required for a well-established and expanding family-owned, food and farming business based in Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, East Midlands.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates MUST have their own transport as the site is inaccessible by public transport. You must also have a current forklift licence.

SALARY:

• £13.44 per hour for Day Shift
• £14.97 per hour for Night Shift (includes nightshift premium)

LOCATION: Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, East Midlands (PE12)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

SHIFT PATTERNS:

Days - 07:00 to 19:00 on a 223 shift pattern (Every other weekend off)

Nights - 19:00 to 07:00 on a 223 shift pattern (Every other weekend off)

The 223-shift pattern is a two-week pattern. On week one you will work Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. On week two you will work Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. This means you get a three-day weekend every other week!

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator with previous Fork Lift Truck experience within a warehouse environment, knowledge of logistical processes and a good eye for detail.

Working as a Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator will work in the Despatch area, servicing the production team and loading trailers.

As the Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator it is essential that you always follow GMP (good manufacturing practice).

DUTIES

Your duties as Despatch Operative / Forklift Driver / FLT Operator will include:

Despatch

• Picking orders

• Loading trailers

• Serving the Production team and handling pallets

• Communicating with Quality Control

• Reporting risks and accidents and undertaking action to prevent accidents

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Have experience in Forklift Truck / FLT driving within a warehouse environment

• You must have a current forklift licence

• Knowledge of logistical processes and how products should be handled

• A good eye for detail and a sense of accountability, particularly in relation to health and safety

• Willing to follow the required quality and hygiene standards

• Self-motivated and flexible

• Ability to work well as part of a team
