A dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing group based near Wimborne, is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their growing finance function. With a reputation for innovation and operational excellence, the business is seeking a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and can offer real-time financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
As part of a collaborative finance team, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and timely financial reports across multiple divisions, working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for several business units, with a strong focus on cost centres, variance analysis, and revenue recognition
- Deliver detailed financial reporting and KPIs to department heads to support production efficiency and margin control
- Collaborate on annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with operational objectives
- Lead on the cost accounting processes including standard costing, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation
- Provide ongoing cash flow projections and support treasury planning
- Partner with operational teams on business cases, capital investment projects, and financial modelling
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant
- Skilled in cost accounting, variance analysis, and working within multi-entity structures
- Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) or working towards qualification with strong analytical and communication skills
- Able to influence operational decisions through clear, data-driven insights
