Accounts Assistant - Bournemouth / Hybrid - £32-35,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, a specialist financial services business that has experienced a period of fast growth. As such, they now seek to expand their finance team with the addition of a newly created role for an Accounts Assistant. The role is offered as a full timer, permanent contract and the company promotes flexible working and a hybrid working pattern (if suited to the successful candidate and following completion of the probation period), operating two days per week remotely and the remainder from their headquarters in Bournemouth.

Working as part of a long standing and highly experienced team, this will be a broad and interesting role where the successful candidate will play a key role covering a full spectrum of responsibilities to include:

- End-to-end bookkeeping

- Preparation of management accounts

- Setting budgets and preparing cash flow forecasts

- Administration of the accounts payable and receivable function to include the preparation of payment runs

- Credit Control and aged debtor management

- Preparation and submission of VAT and other statutory returns

- Assist in the development of finance processes and system streamlining

- Input on a range of ongoing financial projects

For this role we’re seeking a candidate who possesses at least 12 months of recently gained experience gained within a similar environment, either part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. The business is a heavy user of SAGE, Xero and QuickBooks systems so candidates should possess a solid understanding of modern digital accounting tools. The business also uses MS Excel and a good working knowledge of spreadsheet manipulation would be highly desirable.
