Temporary Administrator (Business Support Officer)

1 x 18.5 hours

1 x 20 hours

Monday to Friday

Bournemouth - hybrid, must be able to work in the office 2-3 days a week.

£13.26 per hour plus holiday pay.

Until end of July with a possibility of a permanent role.

Our client is looking for a Business Support Officers in the Children's Social Care Service.

The role will be fully office based during training and then will become hybrid.

The roles require good interpersonal skills, resilience, dependability, and strong organisational abilities. You must be a good administrator and able to work at pace and under pressure.

Key responsibilities include arranging sensitive meetings, minute-taking for some roles and managing confidential information with precision and accuracy at all times.

Job Summary:

To carry out a range of technical administrative and function related duties for the department with limited supervision, which may involve written, telephone or face to face contact with the public or internal colleagues and the application of organisational procedures and systems. You will be expected to have good organisational skills and be able to use IT effectively in implementing tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Good previous experience of working in an admin office undertaking technical admin duties such as writing bespoke letters, account maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Team working skills.
  • Minute taking experience
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Experience of software packages, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Existing DBS would be an advantage but not essential
