Regional Chef - Bournemouth
Based in Bournemouth, covering Christchurch & Weymouth
Permanent | 15 per Hour | Full-time - Days

PSR Solutions is proud to be working with a leading care home provider to recruit a talented and passionate Regional Chef. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to oversee and elevate dining experiences across several high-quality care homes in the Dorset.

In this role, you'll work closely with on-site kitchen teams to ensure every meal is prepared to the highest standard - not only meeting nutritional requirements but also bringing comfort, variety, and enjoyment to residents' daily lives.

Role:

  • Designing seasonal, nutritious menus tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Conducting regular site visits to maintain high operational and quality standards
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting kitchen teams in preparation techniques, hygiene, and food safety
  • Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations through audits and prompt action on feedback
  • Managing budgets, minimising waste, and sourcing premium ingredients from approved suppliers
  • Building relationships with residents and staff to adapt menus based on feedback

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a chef, ideally within care homes, healthcare, or similar settings
  • Strong knowledge of specialist diets - including allergens, fortified meals, and dysphagia management
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and train kitchen teams
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and industry best practices
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications:

  • Professional culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery)
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region
