POSITION: KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

LOCATION: HYBRID/BOURNEMOUTH

SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000 PLUS BONUS

HOURS: 37.5 PER WORK 8:30AM - 5:00PM MON - FRI

Our client is a specialist consultancy in sustainable construction. In the role of Key Account Manager you will be working closely with architects, developers, and contractors.

Due to expansion they are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to develop and manage relationships with their clients which include Tier 1 main contractors, national developers, and leading consultancies.

This role is for an experienced Key Account Manager with a minimum of 2 years Key Account Management experience in the Construction sector. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who excels at building trust, uncovering opportunities, and delivering measurable value.

Responsibilities of the role of the Key Account Manager

  • Manage and grow key accounts across the UK.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional levels of service.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services across multiple divisions or project teams within client organisations.
  • Lead client meetings and commercial discussions.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and communication.
  • Monitor project pipelines and upcoming frameworks or tenders.
  • Track performance and revenue against KPIs and targets.
  • Report regularly to the senior leadership team on client activity and growth opportunities.
  • Support pre-sales activity, including proposal development and pricing strategies.
  • Actively contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of our sales and account management processes.

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales, account management, or business development ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong track record of managing large or strategic client accounts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially minded with a customer-first approach.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work autonomously.
  • Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel when required
  • An understanding of the construction supply chain and procurement processes would be advantageous
