GSL Education are inviting applications for the position of Education Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated school team in Bournemouth. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with complex medical or educational needs.

Your Responsibilities will be to:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support tailored to the medical and learning needs of students.
- Assist with personal care, medical routines, and mobility needs where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and health professionals.
- Promote independence, safety, and well-being in the classroom and wider school environment.
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an educational, care, or healthcare support setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with children or young people with SEN or complex needs.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond empathetically to student needs.
- Relevant healthcare training (e.g., first aid, manual handling) is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
