Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer
Location: Dorset or Berkshire to suit candidate
Salary Range: £55,000 to £70,000
About the Role:My client, an award-winning engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join their team in either Bournemouth or Reading. This role involves supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical delivery of electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects including office space, commercial, healthcare, residential and mission-critical.
- Development of initial strategic concepts ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attendance at project meetings and translating briefs within the project team.
- Monitoring fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered.
- Mentoring and supporting apprentices and graduates.
About You:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
- Familiarity with modern technical delivery processes and relevant software/tools (BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, Relux).
- Experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a design-oriented role.
- Self-awareness and open-mindedness
- Ability to support others in developing their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
