Production Team Leader - Christchurch
We are recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Christchurch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and production floor experience, looking to take the next step in their career.
Salary:
27,000 to 30,000 PA (depending on experience)
Hours:
Full time, Monday to Friday
- Monday to Thursday: 8am to 4.30pm
- Fridays: 8am to 2pm
What You'll Do:
- Communicate production goals and deadlines to team members
- Delegate tasks effectively across the team
- Create and maintain a productive and motivated working environment
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure the team has clear instructions and direction to meet production targets
- Update production lists with accurate information on task progress and work allocation
- Support continuous improvement using SQCDP principles
- Lead by example and support the delivery of high-quality production output
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role
- Strong organisational and delegation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People)
- Ability to motivate and guide team members to meet shared goals
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
