Senior Quantity Surveyor

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that is working in collaboration with a private client on a large infrastructure framework in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. As part of this framework, they are delivering a project worth �20m with a scope of works that includes bulk earthworks, drainage, wild life rehabilitation, culverts and river works etc.

You will report directly to a Commercial Manager in a small team of up to 5 including a Commercial Assistant. You will be involved in (but not limited to):

• Accurate monthly forecasting
  
  
• Producing and sending enquiries to subcontractors
  
  
• Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation
  
  
• Change control and producing compensation events
  
  
• Producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications
  
  
• Attend weekly progress meetings

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

Have previously worked on civil engineering projects as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

Knowledge and understanding of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive day rate package plus opportunities to progress further within the business. After this project is complete, there could be scope to work on another major highway project as part of a delivery partnership with National Highways.
