Job Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Cambridge/Peterborough Areas (with hybrid working)Salary: £52,000 - £80,000 + Excellent PackageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a long-term water framework, delivering capital infrastructure projects across Bournemouth and the wider region.The is an opportunity to join a busy and stable commercial team delivering essential upgrades to the UK's water network with projects ranging in value from £1m to £100m.The Senior Quantity Surveyor's main responsibilities will include:

  • Commercial leadership across multiple capital projects on the framework
  • Full contract management using the NEC suite of contracts, including change control and early warnings
  • Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance management
  • Cost forecasting, CVRs, and reporting to senior commercial and project leadership
  • Supporting junior staff and driving best practice across the team
  • Engaging with client representatives and operational teams to ensure effective project delivery

About You

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering or infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option C experience beneficial)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage commercial aspects across multiple sites
  • Committed to high standards of commercial delivery and continuous improvement
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
