Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for more variety, support, and room to grow? We're working with a thriving accountancy practice in Bournemouth that's expanding and on the lookout for a confident Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business where no two days are the same. You'll play a hands-on role across bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and management accounts-gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio and working within a close-knit, high-performing finance team.

The Role:

  • Manage bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and credit control
  • Support with management accounts, trial balances, and forecasts
  • Prepare year-end accounts and tax returns
  • Assist in reviewing and improving financial processes
  • Collaborate across departments and contribute to ad-hoc finance projects

Who We're Looking For:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified or ACCA qualified
  • At least 2 years of UK-based accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Xero or Sage
  • Comfortable preparing payroll and supporting varied finance functions
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and a proactive team player
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
