Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a Good Ofsted-rated Secondary School located in Bournemouth. We are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated pastoral team and help create a positive, supportive environment for students.

Role Details:

- Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
- Type of Work: Behaviour and Pastoral Support

- Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Pay: From 95.29 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth organisation and day-to-day running of the Reset Room and triage process.
- Support the work of the pastoral team, including Heads of Year and Deputy Vice Principals.
- Direct and refer students to the appropriate staff based on their needs through triage.
- Liaise with students sent to Reset, guiding them to reflect, complete consequences, and return to class.
- Act as the administrative lead for the Reset Room, logging referrals, tracking reflections, and ensuring follow-up actions.
- Contribute to student progress and wellbeing through proactive coordination of behaviour support strategies.
- Work alongside pastoral and inclusion teams to develop student profiles, maintain support plans, and attend meetings when required.

- Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Confidence and experience in managing challenging behaviour while remaining calm and supportive.
- Passion for supporting young peoples mental health and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT literacy, including experience with MS Office Suite and databases.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
- A calm, professional presence in challenging situations
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
- Two professional child-related references.
