Role Accountabilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons and activities focused on mental health, well-being, and emotional resilience.
- Provide emotional and educational support to students facing mental health challenges.
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external agencies to create individual support plans.
- Develop coping strategies with students to help them manage their mental health within the school setting.
- Foster a safe, understanding, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and track students’ progress both academically and emotionally, providing regular updates.
- Promote mental health awareness across the school community and encourage a supportive atmosphere.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching or supporting students with mental health needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people.
- Ability to tailor learning and support to meet individual student needs.
- An updated CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
